HOW DO I NOMINATE? Please use our nomination form. You must have a valid email or twitter handle so we know people aren’t using spambots.

CAN I NOMINATE MYSELF? Absolutely! Well, for all but two awards you can!

I was nominated! Now what? Your fans need to keep nominating you so that you can continue on to the judges panel. You must be in the top 5 to continue on to the final nominee stage. That is determined by sheer number of nominations for each person/RPer.

HOW DO THE AWARDS WORK? Basically it goes like this: an RPer is nominated by one of their lovely fans. It gets tallied up with all the nominations across all categories. About 2-3 weeks before the final quarterly or yearly award show the final nominations are announced. The top 5 nominees, in each category, based solely on number of nominations for each RPer continues to the judges panel. If there aren’t AT LEAST 3 people nominated in a category.. three different people… that category doesn’t continue. The judges panel then has 2-3 weeks to go through EVERY TIMELINE of the final nominees and votes for their favorites. The nominations and final judging is done through google forms to allow privacy for nominators and judges alike while ensuring no cheating or undue awards are given out.

I THINK THE SHOW IS RIGGED. WHAT SHOULD I DO? As stated above everything is done through google forms. Especially for the final judging portion it simply has a little pie chart that shows who wins. Only one vote per judge is allowed (log-in is required and everything) and we take screenshots of the final results for safe keeping. We also require our judges to go through a lengthy application process to ensure that there’s no cheating or favoritism that way. If you still think there’s a way for us or even the judges to cheat maybe this isn’t the place for you.

I NOMINATED SOMEONE A BUNCH OF TIME AND I NOW SOMEONE ELSE DID TOO, BUT THEY DIDN'T APPEAR IN THE FINAL NOMINATIONS. WHAT HAPPENED? That’s an excellent question. While we certainly appreciate all who take time out of their days to nominate someone we as an admin team look into each nomination personally. This means that while someone was nominated a ton if they aren’t an RPer or a majority of their tweets aren’t even an SL, but simply a bunch of pictures of randomness they won’t continue. This way our judges are sifting through a bunch of random profiles and are actually judging those that are the best at ROLEPLAYING on Twitter. If you’re still confused please let us know on Twitter (@FandomFicAwards) and we will try to explain it better.

CAN I SUBMIT ONE RPer TO MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY? Yes, you can!

I WANT TO NOMINATE SOMEONE WHO WAS THE WINNER OF ANOTHER QUARTERLY AWARD. IS THAT ALLOWED? It is, but know this: It is a complete waste of time. Once an RPer has won a quarterly award they automatically advance to the yearly award at the end of the year. So there’s no need to nominate them if they won in a previous quarterly award. However, if they win a yearly award and then the next quarterly award rolls around the next year you are certainly more than welcome to start that process for them over again.

I DON'T SEE A CATEGORY I'D LIKE TO ADD TO THE AWARDS. HOW DO I DO THAT? Simple! Just message us at @FandomFicAwards and we’ll look into for you.

I WAS NOMINATED! HOW COME I WASN'T ANNOUNCED AS A FINAL NOMINEE?

As said above: one of two things happened. First, you didn’t make it into the top 5 nominees (as based on # of nominations). Secondly, there wasn’t enough nominees to go to the final nominee stage. If there isn’t at least 3 nominees in any given category you won’t be going on, no matter how many times you’re nominated. If you’re the only one that’s not happening.
